sᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴏғ sɪʟᴇɴᴄᴇ. ; ( Black Widow & TIM )

Betrayal is ne’er taken lightly. For Jack Harper, it’s personal. Black Widow was an alias, a cover up for Natasha Romanoff { did she ever know her name truly ? }. He made her, he could easily break her. This was the motto he subscribed to. In the darkness, she will meet her creator. Flesh & bone will give way to a False Prophet that steps out of the shadows. The Illusive Man folds his arms behind his back, rigid against his spine for support. Disappointment furrows his brow, his lips a thin line of disapproval. He assumes the stance of patriarch, of a father who can’t stand to look at his daughter.

She defected. She left him behind.

He’ll ensure that she pay in his own manipulative way. Can she witness the change? The glimmer of madness in his synthetic eyes? They’re so bright, so blue that they could freeze countless men & women in place. Maybe that’s why many form Cerberus. Maybe that’s why so many defect – they thaw from the hell he creates.

                            { coɴтrol. ♦ } — ❝It didn’t have to end
this way, Natasha. You could come
back to Cerberus. You could stand by
                                           my side again.❞

He’s full of false promises, this one. With a lavished gesture, he spreads his arms – as though he’s welcoming her back into his arms. He’s not. This man’s an actor, the galaxy’s his stage.

Come back and I’ll ruin you.
